A Pharmacist’s Journey to Finding Relief from Painful Shingles
“I fully believe that when we suppress our natural immunity, we may be opening Pandora’s box that will bring to life diseases that up until now have been latent in the body.”
I have always been told to assume that readers may not have any prior knowledge or understanding; in this case the shingles we will be discussing are not the ones a roofer would install (spelled the same) but the virus.
Shingles is more common in older adults and in people who have weakened immune systems. It is caused by varicella-zoster virus (part of a group of viruses called herpes viruses), the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays dormant (inactive) in their body. The virus can reactivate later, causing shingles.
“Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is a ubiquitous, highly neurotropic, exclusively human α-herpesvirus. (…) As humans undergo a natural decline in cell-mediated immunity (CMI) to VZV with age, VZV frequently reactivates to produce zoster, characterized by maculopapular or vesicular rash and dermatomal-distribution pain. Pain and rash usually occur within days of each other. Pain is severe and often burning. (…) Zoster may be followed by multiple neurologic disorders (meningoencephalitis, myelitis, and vasculopathy, including VZV temporal arteritis) as well as ocular disease (acute or progressive outer retinal necrosis). ”[1]
According to Immunize Canada, about 130,000 Canadians are diagnosed with shingles each year, and the rate is slowly climbing. Globally, 1 in 3 will get shingles in their lifetime. The reason might be the fact that since the vaccine was introduced in Canada in 2000, fewer kids are catching chickenpox, which means that adults are not getting their immunity boosted. As a result, they may be less able to keep the latent virus suppressed later in life and more likely to develop shingles. Adults over 50 who have had COVID-19 are more likely to experience a shingles outbreak, according to new research.[2]
What Can You Do If You Get Shingles?
Here is a shingles pain testimony sent to us from a pharmacist:
“I never thought I would get shingles, boy, I was wrong. It started about 10 years ago, summer 2006, after 2 consecutive days at the beach. I thought I had a sun burn. Then the left side of my back up to the neck felt like someone was holding a hot iron, with hundreds of needles on my skin, but I couldn’t see a rash, just pain there and under my armpit.
As usual my family doctor prescribed a cocktail of heavily medications: 800 mg Zovirax, every 6 hours, cortisone cream with pain reliever (Ibuprofen 400 mg, 3 times a day), and over the counter generic allergy medicines. After 4 days the pain was barley affected, at contrary all the side effects of the above medicines were all on me: upset stomach, mild heartburn, nausea, vomiting; bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation; dizziness, headache, nervousness; or ringing in my ears.
I decided to stop the treatment, and to get control of my health. I started reading, and making research on this disease, as I knew it would be part of my life. I learned that strengthening my immune system was the key to prevent shingle, but this cannot be achieved with prescribe drugs, only natural medicine works for me.
I have been battled with shingles pain for 10 years, until I discover DLPA, a Doctor’s Choice product. I first follow the recommended dose: 1 capsule twice per day, but no benefit result. Then I decided to increase the dosage at 2 capsules 2 times per day, and it relief my shingles pain for about 4 hours. This was an amazing result using a natural medicine. My current dosage is 2 capsule 3 times per day when I feel the first symptoms of the infection. DLPA is a wonderful product, it really helps me get control of my shingles pain, and also block the appearance of blisters.
There is no quick fix for shingle infection, but with commitment and a positive attitude there is no reason why it should ruin your life. I would recommend this product to anyone suffering from shingles pain. Thank you Doctor’s Choice for doing such a wonderful product.

What is DLPA?
DLPA is a nutritional supplement with 2 different forms of phenylalanine in equal amounts: D- and L-phenylalanine. L-phenylalanine is the active form in the human body (it builds proteins, neurotransmitters, and other crucial molecules). It is an essential amino acid that we need to get from foods such as eggs, meat, soy, nuts, and dairy. D-phenylalanine is the synthetic form made in the laboratory. Although our bodies cannot use it as a building block, it produces specific health effects. DLPA is a safe, non-toxic substance that does not cause adverse side effects. It can be used short-term or long-term, toxic overdose is impossible and it cannot be abused.
DLPA and pain
DLPA has been shown to be far more effective in the control of pain than almost any other analgesic on the market. The only problem from the analgesic stand-point is that it requires anywhere from seven to fourteen days to be effective for relieving most pain. It is not a fast acting pain killer and should not be expected to produce results for some short duration pains that may last only a few hours like headache or slight sprain. However, once pain relief effects are established, they can last for extremely long periods after discontinuing, since they stayed stored within the body and are called upon when needed.
Natural Immunity
Natural immunity gives full protection while vaccine immunity wanes in time and can trigger outbreaks when immunity is low. When it comes to developing shingles, those that have been exposed to chickenpox as children have natural immunity for life, and it is rare for them to develop shingles as adults.
I fully believe that when we suppress our natural immunity with mass vaccinations, especially those that are experimental such as mRNA vaccines, we may be opening Pandora’s box that will bring to life diseases that up until now have been latent in the body. The shingles virus has been on the rise for many years and it will be interesting to see if this number spikes in the next few years with mass vaccination.
Another virus that we should keep an eye on is the global prevalence of latent tuberculosis. I have a feeling that TB will be making a global resurgence in the next few years, I certainly hope I am wrong. “The World Health Organization (WHO) estimated in 1999 that 1.8 billion people, or one-third of the world’s population, were infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which is the definition of latent TB infection (LTBI). This estimate has since been referred to frequently, but had not been updated until recently. In 2016, a WHO-endorsed estimate updated the global prevalence of LTBI to 23%, corresponding to 1.7 billion people infected worldwide.”[3]
Shingles and TB are not the only dangers that are or will be influencing our health. A new study published in Science[4] by researchers at Harvard Medical School suggests that multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complication of infection by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). The findings are based on the data taken for two decades from 10 million of US military personnel.
In my estimation Thymus gland is the most direct way to bolster immunity by stimulating new T-cells, it is like giving stem cells directed for immunity. I will make this prediction based on my research that the mRNA vaccine will create an explosion of auto-immune related sickness.
At age 50 only 15% thymic output, at 80 year there is none, this is why this group is in the highest risk category for viral attacks. The question is what do you think would happen if you had the thymic stimulation and release of a 17 year old?
For my family we use Thymus gland for viral prevention and protection, to my extended family I suggest it be used as a substitute for those not taking the injection, if they still plan to take the jab I suggest two weeks preloading with 12 thymus gland caps (3X4) times per day with 9 L-Glycine (3X3).
If not thymus gland what else works directly to influence and creates T-Cells? Please read this White Paper on Thymus Gland.
While our bodies are very fragile, our immune system is constantly keeping suppressed and under control latent diseases. But once something changes, this sensitive balance can morph into a major health concern. I have my suspicion that the disease process will accelerate from the mRNA injection since the lipid nanoparticles deposit the spike protein into all major organs with days of receiving the jabs.
