Are You Prepared For What May Be Coming?
“We walk by faith, with a sound mind and from a position of strength we make preparations for a brighter tomorrow.”
There is a lot of chatter these days from both sides of the spectrum. I compare it to a prospector panning for gold: the shiny stuff is attractive and can easily pass as the real thing to the untrained but in reality it is fool’s gold. Truth, like gold, is a very rare find.
One crisis follows another as the ever-changing main stream media suddenly replaces covid with the war in Ukraine. Let’s face it: fear sells. It causes doubt and panic and as it builds, it resembles the state of hyperventilation—the panic creates oxygen shortages to the brain, which continues to the state of desperation. When enlightened, the answer is clear: you need to simply breathe. But it’s not that easy when the boogie man is no longer in the closet but on your television and social media screens.
When we examine the global state of affairs, we might find that we are living in desperate times. Covid changed the world and not in a good way. Supply issues are still a major concern and now coupled with the Russian and Ukrainian war things are even more concerning. Oil hit a high of $140 US per barrel, the highest level since 2008. Inflation is going through the roof as we continue printing money without being backed with hard assets, such as gold. And then there is talk about replacing the U.S. backed Petro Dollar with the Chinese Yuan, with the cooperation of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Angola, and Iraq, if this happens it would place accountability on the U.S. printing as many dollars as needed to fund government spending for the past decade, it would quickly decimate the U.S. economy.
Because of the situation between Russia and Ukraine, national producers already admit to food rationing with price increases of 20% to 30% in the coming days. They are talking about food emergency and cutting back on production of some crops, vegetables and some fruits in order not to have any losses. “The director-general of the Portuguese Association of Branded Product Companies, Pedro Pimentel, admits: »We can have in retail a scenario identical to queues at gas stations, with people buying non-perishable products in advance«. The president of the Food Bank against Hunger warns that »food shortages will reach a level that has not been seen for many years«.”[1]
Food insecurity
The Black Sea is the major thoroughfare in the area connecting Ukraine, Georgia and parts of Russia with Bulgaria and Turkey. Currently, ships are not coming in or going out on the Black Sea for security or prohibitive insurance costs reasons. “The disruption of supplies of cereals, oilseeds and other commodities that are shipped along the Black Sea region will have significant implications for food security in those countries that are net importers of commodities, and especially those in North Africa and the Mediterranean region that are highly dependent on such imports from Ukraine,” said Alan Matthews, a retired professor of European agricultural policy at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.[2]
Unless the Russian and Ukraine war is peacefully resolved soon, things are going to quickly deteriorate. This creates a perfect storm as China is getting itchy feet and speculation is they may invade Taiwan. Then we have Iran standing in the shadows waiting to get USA’s approval of uranium enhancement—if this happens, Israel promised to strike Iran. If none of these things happen, we could return to a relatively normal state. The question is, for how long.
It seems that there is more that you must consider and it is not shared in the media. Climate change is another topic on the list, though not the one politicians are flogging for—e.g. carbon tax and the reduction of fossil fuels—but the one that is out of our control. Researchers begin to warn about the sun’s grand solar minimum cycle and its effects on our earth. According to Valentina Zharkova, from Northumbria University, Newcastle, Tyne, UK “This global cooling during the upcoming grand solar minimum 1 (2020–2053) can offset for three decades any signs of global warming and would require inter-government efforts to tackle problems with heat and food supplies for the whole population of the Earth.[3]
You may be thinking: what does this have to do with health? The answer is: everything! Scary, yes, it does seem overwhelming but we have a window of opportunity to prepare and be much better off than if doing nothing at all.
At Doctor’s Choice we have anticipated this scenario for several years, we have one year standing orders for raw materials and packaging; this is not a guarantee but we are hedging our bets on what will eventually be coming. In Canada, we have a limited advantage over Europe for the time-being, and prevention is the key.
What can be done? First of all, you need to have a family meeting and develop a plan to prep for at least two months with supply of daily needs. If money is tight, stockpile commodities with others for support. I am not one to trust that the government will take care of our needs, so we need to maintain our independence as much as we can. The rational to consider: stores will be closed and what you have on hand will have to carry you through.
It is recommended to start buying heirloom seeds and planting food, vegetables, herbs, and fruit in community gardens with those who are likeminded, if alone, on your balcony. Have dry foods, protein mixes, water, water treatment, sanitary napkins, first aid supplies, extra clothing (depending on the season), candles, batteries, a generator, extra fuel and medications—including high quality vitamins, (don’t waste your money on the feed grade junk) as they will become essential to help balance your diet shortages.[4]
To help you prepare, here are some supplement strategies grouped together to be used in conjunction to address health conditions;
- Once-A-Day strategy for your vitamin and mineral needs: Next Generation B Complex, Opti-Cal/Mag Complex with K2
- Pain relief strategy for injuries, burns and pain control: DMSO, DLPA and Sweet Relief Cream
- Immunity boosting for supporting your natural immune system: Immunity 4 in1, Pure Vitamin C, Pure Vitamin D3, Thymus Gland and Zinc Picolinate
I know this subject is not easy to accept, especially if you have no prior knowledge, we are sharing this information as our way to help you prepare. I would like to have your feed-back on this newsletter, this way we will know if situations arise that we can keep you updated on how to best prepare. We walk by faith, with a sound mind and from a position of strength we make preparations for a brighter tomorrow.
